Preventing public place violence: what works and what doesn’t

The East Midlands Violence Reduction Unit (VRIN), hosted at the University of Leicester, exists to enhance knowledge on how to best tackle violence by bringing together academic researchers and policing professionals and other relevant partners.

The benefit is that Violence Reduction Units (VRUs) in forces can work with everyone else in building the best evidence base through the entire region, in order to ensure the maximum efficiency in police resource deployment to best protect the public.

The next (free) event is entitled ‘Preventing Public Place Violence: what works and what doesn’t’, which will take place at 4pm on Tuesday 15th February 2022.
