EMPAC is pleased to announce, as part of the East Midlands Police and Crime Research and Development Plan https://empac.org.uk/east-midlands-police-crime-research-development/ , an important event all about encouraging more innovation within policing.
So much in policing is about responding to crisis that the culture of command and control can squeeze out longer term, creative thinking. This event will explore how do we enable more innovation within policing, from encouragement through to the implementation of ideas. The event will be open to beyond just policing practice as we’re keen to encourage thinking beyond the current status quo – so you can expect to meet a diversity of folk and get your thinking challenged at this event!
You are encouraged you to come along and help make the difference for the future of policing.
The event will be facilitated by Deputy Chief Constable Gary Knighton and hosted at the Joint Police and Fire Training Centre, Ripley Derbyshire, DE5 3RS, between 10.30am and 1pm on Wednesday 17th October 2018, with free refreshments, lunch and parking. To book a place please contact corry.bond.17055@derbyshire.pnn.police.uk.
