EMPAC is pleased to be able to report that Leicestershire Police are offering a new job opportunity within their Violence and Complex Crime Unit (VCCU).
The role is for a Performance Analyst, to join the Violence & Complex Crime Unit (VCCU), working in close partnership with the Leicestershire Violence Reduction Network, paying £30,420 – £32,394, working full time (suitable for job share / flexi-time) over a three year fixed-term contract.
The VCCU Performance Team is responsible for the production of detailed management information, performance statistics and insight analysis, providing vital evidence-based data that is integral to decision making across the force.
The Performance Analyst role exists to help deliver the force’s ‘hot spots’ policing response, utilising effective analysis of serious violent crime data and the evaluation of police activity in crime hot spots. The role will involve interpreting complex data, selecting the most appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to evaluate data and interpret trends, striving for continuous improvement.
This opportunity would suit someone that has previous relevant experience in a similar role or a degree or equivalent qualification which has involved research, analysis of data or statistics and has a keen interest in violent and complex crime.
