EMPAC is pleased to announce that the University of Lincoln will host an important Roundtable to bring together police and academics to discuss digital policing policy in the 21st century, big data, crime and crime prevention in the virtual world. As machine learning and artificial intelligence become ever more sophisticated, the challenges to successful crime prevention and detection are intensified. Open discussions will be facilitated around the following themes:
- Where does responsibility lie for human and digital interaction?
- Big data analysis, automated algorithms and the ethical use of data.
- Legitimacy in the digital environment.
- Intervention in the digital environment to prevent cybercrime.
- Education and young people in CyberSpace.
- Behaviour in CyperSpace
